The organization was created after a member of the Thistle Farms, Becca Stevens, witnessed the ongoing crisis of the Syrian refugees. But, instead of opening up a charity organization, he rather came up with a strategy that would help the women from Refugee Camps to get employed and support their families.

The products that are available at the site of Love Welcome are handwoven by the women from the Syrian Refugee Camp. Apart from generating an income for themselves using their talents, these also help them to gain back confidence which they have lost during the war. This initiative helps them to overcome the post-war traumas.

The global Directors of the Thistle Farms, Abi and Becca has spent more than a year behind the development of this organization and the only motive behind this was to provide employment to the Syrians which has remained steady till date.

More than 14 weavers of the Love Welcomes have permanently relocated to some other place of Europe and have found employment in some other weaving industries which they have learned under the mentor-ship of Love Welcome head designer, Margo Selby who is one of the most well-known British Textile Designer and Artist.
